Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to traditional, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive singing instruction. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young student and professional. After 2000, she emigrated into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations in keeping the music alive.
