Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. She moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and attended the Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. At the age of 6she was enrolled into the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons on singing, acting, and dance. As part of a school production and an Stagecoach Production, Emma was the lead at the age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was found by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight straight auditions. Emma's first appearance on the big screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. It broke all records in beginning-day and weekend-opening sales and became the top-grossing movie of 2001. The film received praise from experts, and also by the performance of three stars. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British newspaper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance was recognized and won five awards later in the film.
